As part of our core mission to rapidly advance new research innovations to benefit our patients, our clinicians oversee many clinical trials. Through voluntary participation in such studies, individuals may help researchers evaluate the safety and effectiveness of investigational treatments, tools and prevention strategies.
Healthy individuals as well as those with medical conditions are needed. Participants also may have access to innovative treatment modalities currently being studied. To learn more about clinical studies currently seeking volunteers, please visit the Volunteer for Health Research Participant Registry.
For information on clinical studies related to cancer, please visit the cancer clinical trials directory at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine.
All clinical activities are overseen by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to comply with ethical standards as well as government and instittional regulations.
